Green Tourmaline Rough
Nice dark green tourmaline rough. Most of these stones are clean, some have minor inclusions. They are well formed crystals anywhere from 10 to 30 millimeters long. What we are calling thin crystals are 2 to 3.5 millimeters across, and the thick ones range from 3.5 to 5 millimeters. Most will cut fair sized stones, VS or better. The color is quite dark, so you may want to cab it in spite of its clarity.
One gram is 2 to 4 crystals. The thicker ones tend to be about 2 to 3 carats each, and the thin ones run near 1 carat. A typical gram will be one or two thick crystals, with a thin one to assure the weight.
