Russian Alexandrite Cab/Specimen Rough
Alexandrite is a very rare form of chrysoberyl with the unique ability to change colors under different lighting conditions. Under blue/green-rich sunlight or fluorescent lights alexandrite is a medium to light green. Under blue-starved candlelight or incandescent lights, it changes to a reddish purple color.
We have searched far and wide to find alexandrite rough, and unless one is extremely lucky, there is very little of it to be found anywhere. We don't know how long we can keep offering alexandrite, but while we have it, we intend to share the wealth at the best possible prices.
These stones are offered by the carat. One carat is about 3-4 stones, and each stone is between 3 and 5 millimeters long. Order as many carats as you like, subject to availability.
